About Jimmy Finch
Jimmy Finch, known for his wide range and powerful voice, is originally from Lansing, Michigan. He earned a BA in Music from Spring Arbor University, and a Master's degree in Vocal Performance from The University of New Mexico where he studied with the late Marilyn Tyler.
He made his professional operatic debut in Carmen with Opera Southwest (Albuquerque), and his New York City debut singing the tenor solos in Mozart's Requiem.
Jimmy teaches private voice lessons at The MacPhail Center for Music (both the downtown Minneapolis campus and the Chanhassen campus), and directs the choir at Grace-Trinity Community Church in Minneapolis.
